This knitted bag is so soft, made with mix of wool and cotton yarn. It took less than a day to make it and It is very soft and wonderful piece to store your make up, jewelry, any small items. Hope you like it.

Notes:

This bag/pouch is made from starting with an round shape base at the bottom of the bag and then working your way up in a spiral. This pattern is created with knit stitch for the base and the body pieces and purl stitch for making the strap. The written detailed instructions are below. I used worsted weight 100% wool yarn but you can use any fiber yarn. There are so many colors available. The pattern of the strap/drawstring cord, is very easy, knit stitch for the right side and purl stitch for the wrong side. You can also add a fabric liner to the inside of the bag, as this makes it easier to reach inside and find different items. A liner also lessens the possibility of losing any very small item placed inside the bag.

YARN SUBSTITUTIONS:

These are one of my favorites.

https://amzn.to/43zhsjB I love Lion Brand Coboo Yarn. Its made with 51% cotton and 49% bamboo and lightweight yarn. This yarn is also great for making sweaters, summer tops, cardigans. One of the reasons that I love using this yarn is because it’s a Bamboo blend yarn which is a sustainable, renewable resource and I love making projects with this yarn.

https://amzn.to/3p5lAZr I Love This Cotton Yarn is a another option for this project. I have used this yarn for so many projects, I have used for bags, baskets, sweaters, tops, etc. I just love the feel of it. I love this cotton yarn is soft and flexible in my opinion and this quality of it both gives and sustains a nice shape to the bags or baskets. I very much recommend this yarn. Also it’s reasonably priced.

https://amzn.to/3CluLrJ I also love Dishie yarn by Knit Picks. I learned about dishie yarn and purchased once and got hooked with it. It’s one of my favorites. Its also very soft, and very easy to crochet or knit. I have used this yarn many times and loved it. This would be a great option! It’s also a 100% cotton yarn.
