Valentine’s Day is coming. I thought I should crochet flower and I thought about Orchids being so adorable and would be nice gift. I hope you will like the these Orchids. The written and video tutorial are below.

MAKING THE FLOWER:
Ch 4, make 1 sc to the 4th chain from hook to make a loop and ch 1
Make 9 sc inside the loop and sl st at the ed to close the circle.
Making the one of the back petals:
Chain 6, insert your hook into the 2nd ch and continue pulling up loops from the next chains and you have 6 loops in hook and pull up one more look from the same stitch, you have 7 loops on hook, yo and pull through 2 loops at a time until one loop on hook and ch 1.
Pull up a loop from each vertical bars (Tss), 8 loops on hook and pull up one more from the same stitch, 9 loops on hook. Yo and pull through 2 loops at a time until one loop on hook and ch 1.
Pull up a loop from each vertical bars (Tss), 9 loops on hook and pull up one more from the same stitch, 10 loops on hook. Yo and pull through 2 loops at a time until one loop on hook and ch 1.
Pull up a loop from each vertical bars (Tss), 10 loops on hook and pull up one more from next stitch, 11 loops on hook. Yo and pull through 2 loops at a time until one loop on hook. (Repeat this one more time)
Slip stitch to next vertical bar. Pull up a loop from the next vertical bars (Tss), 9 loops on hook and pull up one more from same stitch, 10 loops on hook. Yo and pull through 2 loops at a time until one loop on hook.
Slip stitch to next vertical bar. Pull up a loop from the next vertical bars (Tss), 8 loops on hook and pull up one more from same stitch, 9 loops on hook. Yo and pull through 2 loops at a time until one loop on hook.
Slip stitch to next vertical bar. Pull up a loop from the next vertical bars (Tss), 7 loops on hook and pull up one more from next stitch, 8 loops on hook. Yo and pull through 2 loops at a time until one loop on hook.
Slip stitch to next vertical bar. Pull up a loop from the next vertical bars (Tss), 6 loops on hook and pull up one more from same stitch, 7 loops on hook. Yo and pull through 2 loops at a time until one loop on hook.
Slip stitch to each of 6 vertical vertical bars and slip stitch to same stitch. Slip stitch to next stitch and ch 6 to start making next petal.
One petal is done. Repeat making 2 more petals like this.
Using the metal wire, 1 sc around the 3 petals (make 1 sl st between the 2 petals)
Sl st at the end, ch 1, and fasten off.
Chain 3, insert the hook second chain and the last chain, 3 loops on hook. Follow by return pass.
Return pass: Yarn over and chain 1, yarn over pull through two loops x2. One loop on hook.
Chain 1, Tunisian simple stitch to next 2 vertical bars.
Insert the hook to top of the last stitch (increasing one) and insert the hook to the side of last stitch. 5 loops on hook (we made 2 increase) follow by return pass.
Chain one, Tunisian simple stitch to next 2 vertical bars, 1 Tunisian knit stitch (increasing- inserting the hook between two vertical bars) 1 Tunisian simple stitch to next bar, 1 Tunisian knit stitch to next space, insert the hook to top of last stitch, insert the hook to side of last stitch.
9 loops on hook follow by return pass.
Chain 1, 3 Tunisian simple stitches, 1 Tunisian knit stitch, 3 Tunisian simple stitches, 1 Tunisian knit stitch, 1 Tunisian simple stitch, 1 top of the last stitch, 1 to the side of last stitch. 12 loops on hook. Follow by return pass.
Chain 1, 4 Tunisian simple stitches, 1 Tks, 4 Tss, 1 Tunisian knit stitch, 4 Tss, 1 on top of the last stitch, 1 to side of the last stitch.
17 loops on hook. Follow by return pass.
No increase: Starting from the second vertical bar from hook, 1 Tss to each vertical bars and to side of last stitch. 17 loops on hook follow by return pass.
1 Tss two together to next 2 vertical bars (starting from the second bar). 3 Tss, 1 Tunisian Simple stitch two together, 2 Tunisian simple stitches, 1 Tss two together, 3 Tss, 1 Tss two together ( to last vertical bar and to side of last stitch)
13 loops on hook, follow by return pass.
1 Tss two together to next 2 vertical bars (starting from the second bar), 8 Tss, 1 Tss two together ( to last vertical bar and to side of last stitch) 11 loops on hook. Follow by return pass.
1 Tss two together to next 2 vertical bars, 2 Tss, 1 Tss two together, 2 Tss, 1 Tss two together. 8 loops on hook follow by return pass.
1 Tss two together to next 2 vertical bars, 1 Tss, 1 Tss two together, 1 Tss two together. 5 loops on hook. Follow by return pass.
1 Tss two together to next 2 vertical bars, 1 Tss two together to last vertical bar and last stitch. 3 loops on hook. Follow by return pass.
Using the wire, 1 single crochet to each stitch around.
Slip stitch to close the round chain 1 and fasten off. Make 2 of these.
Using color b (white color), chain 3, 1 sc to the 3rd chain from hook to make a loop and chain 1.
6 single crochet into the space. Slip stitch to close and chain 7.
Starting from the second chain, 1 single crochet to each chain (6 single crochet) and slip stitch to same stitch.
Slip stitch to next stitch changing to color c (dark red).
Chain 7 using color c, 2 dc, 3 hdc, 1 sc, 1 sl st to the base.

Rounds3-4: 1 sc to each st around. 12 sc.
Round 5: Ch 4, Tr6tog, ch 4, sl st to same st. Sl st to next st and Ch 4, Tr6tog, ch 4, sl st to same st. Ch 1 and fasten off.
MAKING THE LEAF:
Round 1: Ch 23, 1 sc, 3 hdc, 15 dc, 3 hdc, 3 sc continue to other side, 3 hdc, 15 dc, 3 hdc, 2 sc, sl st to close. Ch 1.
Round 2: 2 sc to same st, 3 hdc, 15 dc, 3 hdc, 2 dc to each of 3 sts, continue to other side, 3 hdc, 15 dc, 3 hdc, 2 sc to next 2 sts, sl st to close. Ch 1.
Round 3: Using thick wire, 1 sc to next 25 sts. 1 sc to next st, ch 3, 1 sc to same st. Continue to other side, 1 sc to next 25 sts. Sl st to close the round. Ch 1 and fasten off.
Done with all the pieces. Now all you have to do is to connect them together with yarn and wire.
