How to crochet honeycomb stitch drawstring pouch

February 21, 2025 · Crochet, Crochet Bag

Hi everyone,

This crochet pouch is made with super chunky natural wool yarn. It’s soft and lightweight, and you can vary the size. This pouch is a simple and beginner friendly project: You start with the circle base first, then continue in the round with honeycomb stitch, and change to a different color. Continue in the round with double crochet, and when you come to the end you create small openings for a drawstring.

After you are done with the pouch, you add the drawstring pulls to the top of the bag, which can then be pulled closed and tied closed using a bow.

I’ve included a step-by-step video tutorial to guide you through the process,
