How to crochet bobble stitch pouch/ make up bag/ toiletry bag- beginner friendly.

Hi everyone,

This week I have made this cute pouch. This is an easy and quick project. The pouch is made with 100% chunky wool yarn. I have made a video tutorial and step by step written instructions in below. You can use this pouch as a make up bag, toiletry bag, or for anything else you like.

Materials:

The chunky wool yarn https://amzn.to/445DsFQ https://amzn.to/4jn8Hkt

Crochet hook 5 mm: https://amzn.to/3RAoQXu

Scissors and yarn needle to weave the ends.

Abbreviations:

Ch: Chain

Sl st: Slip stitch

St (s): Stitch (es)

Sc: Single crochet

Scblo: Single crochet back loop only

Dc: Double crochet

Written Instructions:

Ch 9

Row 1: 1 sc to each ch, starting from the second ch. 8 sc. At the end ch 1 and turn your work.

Row 2-20: 1 sc to each st. 8 sc

Round 20: 1 sc to each st and 2 sc to each edge (4 edges) around. 56 sc – working in the round. At the end, sl st to close and ch 1.

You will have (8 sts x2 – short sides, 20 sts x2- long sides = 56 sts)

Round 21: 1 scblo to each st around. 56 sts

Sl st to close, ch 1 and turn.

Round 22: *1 bobble st to next st, 3 sc to next 3 sts. Repeat from * in the round. At the end, sl st to close, ch 2 and turn.

Working in the round, 14 bobble sts, 42 sc

Round 23: 1 dc to each st and each bobble st around. 56 dc. At the end, sl st to close, ch 1 and turn.

Make sure to double check your stitches in this round, so you don’t increase. Tip: You will place 3 double crochet between the 2 bobble stitches and 1 stitch on top of each bobble stitch.

Next round, we are going to place the bobble sts in middle of 2 previous bobble sts.

Round 24: *1 sc to next 3 sts. 1 bobble st to next st. Repeat from * in the round. At the end, sl st to close, ch 2 and turn.

Round 25: 1 dc to each st and each bobble st. 56 dc.

Rounds 26- 29: Repeat Rows 22-25

Round 30 (changing to color b): Attach the yarn, 1 sc to each st and each bobble st around. 56 sc

Sl st to close, ch 1 and fasten off.

Round 31: Leave 8 sts on both sides and 20 sts for both front and back.

Attach the yarn to the stitch before the stitch marker ( working on the front sts).

1 sc to each st until the next marker (20 single crochet)

Ch 1 and turn your work.

Round 32- 33: Repeat round 31. 1 sc to each st between the 2 markers. 20 sc.

Fasten off and do same thing to other side.

Working on the sides:

Attach the yarn, 1 sc to next 3 sts. Ch 1 and turn work. 1 sc to next 3 sts.

Attach it to the side skipping one st and continue to sc to 3 sts. Ch 1 and turn work. 1 sc to next 3 sts and continue attaching the yarn going up, skip one stitch every time attach to next stitch.

At the end, sl st to the base to connect and fasten off.

Weave the ends and sew the zipper.
