Hello everyone,
This crochet bag is made with crocheting small flowers and they were attached together as you go. It’s like flower garden on your bag. The bag turned out really beautiful, elegant and stylish. It’s big enough and lightweight. You don’t really need lining for this bag because the flowers are connected each other and there are no holes in the bag but you can still have lining if you like.
The structure of the bag reminds me tulip flower because bottom is round and it opens up on top. It’s beginner friendly and fun to crochet. If you know the basics of crochet you can make this bag.

Notes (Forming the bag):
Structure of the bag is flowers are attached and made 2 panels (front and back), and long crochet strip was made which covered for the side and the bottom of the bag, the strip was sew to the front and back panels. after that, continue to make some more flowers for the top of the bag and finished it with the handles.

https://amzn.to/4qoQvdb “Lily Sugar ‘N Cream ” yarn is a different option for this project. This yarn is also medium weight cotton yarn, soft. It’s a great yarn for making sweaters, baskets, bags, etc.
https://amzn.to/48JawVS Dishie yarn by Knit Picks also would be an another great cotton yarn option for this bag It’s very soft, and lightweight. I have used this yarn many times and loved it. I very much recommend this yarn for making bags, sweaters, cardigans, etc.
Abbreviations:
Ch: Chain
Sc: Single crochet
Scblo: Single crochet back loop only
Sl st: Slip stitch
St (s): Stitch (es)
Yo: Yarn over
Written tutorial:
Make a slip knot and ch 4. S st to the 4th ch from hook.
Making the flower/ Round 1: Ch 3, * yo 6 times, insert the hook into the circle, pull up a loop, using the last strand of the yarn on the hook thread this strand through the 6 loop, one at a time, until there are 2 strands on the hook. Yarn over and pull through last 2 strands. Repeat from * in the round (11 more times- Total of 12)
Sl st to close the round at the end.








Round 2: Sl st to each stitch around. 12 sl st. Fasten off at the end.

You will only fasten off the first flower and the rest of the flowers are connected as you go. You will be connecting in round 2 (slip stitch round). You will connect as you go, with 2 stitches in each flower.










MAKING THE SIDE OF THE BACK:
Row 1: Ch 9, 1 sl st to each st (8 sl sts), ch 1 turn your work.
Row 2: 1 scblo to each st (8 sc).
Row 3-62: 1 thermal st to each st.










Count 4 flowers from front and back, and attach more flowers the same way you were attaching making the front and back panels.





Making the handle

You will make 6 strips (chain stitches- total of 150 chains for each strip) Attach the yarn to the 3rd stitch in one flower and chain 150 and fasten off. Attach the yarn to the next 5 more stitches in two flowers and chain 150. Make total of 6 strips.





After done with the braid attach handle to other side. Fasten off and weave the ends
